Msgr. Esseff, on the first Friday of the month, reflects on his experience preparing for the second session of spiritual retreats with the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity in Australia.  Before the actual silent retreat begins, the group has 3 days of sharing and growing in appreciation of each participants individual cultural experience, which varies greatly in the group.  Msgr. Esseff sees the gift of the Sacred of Jesus, the King of Love, as the great healing and unifying force of the world.  He discusses the 4 vows of the Missionaries and how that is lived out in the lives of the Sisters.  Who are the “poorest of the poor” and how are they to be served?
